Hey everyone! For the last week or so only one of my six Peloton workouts have synced to activity on my Apple Watch. I am getting credit for the exercise minutes, but the workout doesn’t show in activity for the day.

I right now have Peloton, Strava and mpaceline syncing data with Peloton being top and I only get one data set on the activity app. The nice thing about the new update with apple health is you do NOT need to start any activity on the watch. Just open the Peloton app on your phone after the ride and it will instantly sync the data.

The Apple Health integration works well, but it seems like Peloton workouts don’t update the Apple Watch Move or Exercise goals. For example, I did a 30 minute ride this morning. On the Apple Health app, that workout is reflected in my “Active Energy” and “Exercise Minutes” in the Activity section.

Peloton has grown in popularity over the years, and now it finally has an Apple Watch app.. Launched today, Peloton finally added an Apple Watch app to help those exercising reach their goals. Of course, Peloton covers all sorts of workouts, and, as such, the Peloton Apple Watch app makes it possible to track your heart rate “in all workouts” and keep track of your pace and distance.

Peloton has announced its brand new app for Apple Watch, aimed at Peleton members who use the Peloton App for iPhone. Peloton's new app can automatically track your metrics once you start a workout, you'll need your phone with you when you're exercising to use the app, however.

The Apple Watch relies on your heart rate, accelerometer, and type of activity to determine calorie burn. That's why there's a big long list of activities programmed into the Watch: each of them gives particular calibration data on how your heart rate and accelerometer correspond to that particular activity.

The Peloton iOS app received a new update today that enabled a long-requested feature: syncing with Apple Health data.. By turning on the new integration, the iOS app will sync all of your Peloton workouts and history with your other daily activity in your Apple Health App.

The pause button is also available on the Apple Watch. Workouts done with the Peloton iOS app and the new companion Peloton Apple Watch app will continue to send data to the Apple Activity app and work towards closing your rings. The requirements for the new Apple Watch app are simply that your watch be running Watch OS 6.0.

I have not been wearing my watch during these workouts and I have the Peloton as the priority data source in Health for each of the relevant settings (see link to images). When I sync with Activity, grey lines show up (see link to images) which seems to indicate that the Activity app is recognizing my Peloton workouts via Health.

This is the first time I have stuck through with any sort of consistent activity for so long that didn’t involve me training for a race. Speaking of which, I used the app to train for a 10k PR.
