App fine when it works support not so much Despite several attempts to refresh my subscription and requests for support, the app is displaying ads and refusing to display elevation profiles. I've used it successfully for turn by turn audible directions a few months ago. Might be worth the subscription if competent support were available.

I find the MotionX GPS app very good. It displays OpenStreetMap and OpenCycleMap data and allows large areas of the map to be pre-loaded onto the phone, so you don't need a network signal when you are out on the hills. It also does nice track recording, so you can import your GPS track back into OSM :)

The app will even show you the distance break-down of each surface. The turn-by-turn voice navigation is perfect. The biggest downside is that the offline maps take up a LOT of storage space. Maybe I haven't been clear enough, but when I use the internet navigator (Safari in my case) I can choose OpenCycleMap as maps system (instead of Google ones). In the iOS iPhone app I have Google Maps as default, but cannot find how change to OpenCycleMap, which in my case are much more precise and comprehensive (complete).
