Spotify Apple Watch Streaming

After many years of using Spotify, I cancelled our Spotify account because of the lack of the ability to stream music to an Apple Watch device. I will *happily* switch back from Apple music family streaming to Spotify if Spotify adds this feature.

Until recently, Apple Watch owners who use Spotify had little option to control streaming music from their smartwatch beyond using the native audio controls that appear on its screen in response.

Hello Spotify, I recently bought an Apple Watch Series 3 cellular just to listen to music while i am doing exercise and to keep Iphone at home, but when i came to know about this issue where we cannot stream Spotify on cellular watch i was really disappointed. I do not like Apple Music and don't want to pay as well.

At what date, if any, will I be able to stream music from Spotify apple watch app without being connected to my phone? Pandora has it. Apple music has it. Is this just not a priority for Spotify to provide feature parity with competitors? I'm stuck paying for Apple music to get this basic fun...

Not having the ability to stream or download songs on apple watch for offline listening is a deal breaker for me. I believe a significant portion of people willing to pay for music streaming service would also be owning apple watch. By not having this feature spotify risks being ruled out as a preferred music streaming service by them.
