App Passwords not working I've had multiple users unable to sign into Outlook with App Passwords over the past three or four days. Just this morning I set an existing user up with a loaner laptop, sign her into Office 365, create an app password and try to sign into Outlook.

I have 2-step verification and Outlook 2016, but when I use the App Password it says Outlook doesn't recognize the password. When I use my normal password I get the request in my Authenticator app, which works, but I like having app passwords for Outlook so I don't have to update my password on my personal computer when we change our main.

@Acer41 , Have you tried logging into webmail at Sky Yahoo, to see if you can move the messages back to Inbox from Trash that way?. I would also check to see whether any filters on webmail have been set up to move messages to trash. You could also write a filter to positively place incoming mail in Inbox, e.g. everything received with an '@' symbol in the 'From' field goes to Inbox.
