Following this post. Ran into same issue. Got new iPhone. Google photos had all my photos prior to getting new phone. Installed app on new phone & all my pictures from 10/30/18-11/25/19 were gone. More than a whole year of photos missing. Google photos was my backup plan. I didn’t back up my photos on iCloud or any other service.
